Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Transaction Coordinator?
A Transaction Coordinator (TC) manages all the administrative tasks between contract and closing, tracking deadlines, coordinating between your agent, lender, attorney, and all other parties so nothing falls through the cracks.
Who should I contact if I have a question about my transaction?
For paperwork, deadlines, and document questions, contact your Backstage TC coordinator at admin@backstage-tc.com. For negotiation or showing questions, contact your real estate agent directly.
What happens at the final walkthrough?
The final walkthrough is your last chance to inspect the property before closing. It confirms the home is in agreed-upon condition, agreed repairs were made, and nothing has changed since your home inspection. It typically takes 30-60 minutes.
What do I need to bring to closing?
Bring a government-issued photo ID, any remaining funds needed for closing (as a certified or cashier's check or wire transfer, confirm with your attorney), and your checkbook for any small adjustments. Your closing attorney will provide a full list in advance.
What is DPOR compliance?
DPOR stands for the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, the Virginia agency that licenses real estate agents. All transaction files must meet DPOR record-keeping requirements to protect your agent's license. Backstage TC ensures every file is 100% compliant.
